Desert Rose (Sting şarkısı)

"Desert Rose" İngiliz müzisyen Sting ve Cheb Mami'nin Brand New Day (1999) albümünden bir şarkısıdır. Sting'e göre sözlerin "kayıp aşk ve özlem" ile ilgisi olduğunu belirtmiştir.[1] Latin ve Arap kültürlerine yönelik 11 Eylül öncesi bir ilgi dalgasıyla[2][3][4] şarkı Kanada'da 2., İsviçre'de 3., İtalya'da 4., Birleşik Krallık'ta 15. ve ABD'de 17. sırada yer almıştır. Şarkı, Sting'in Cezayirli raï şarkıcısı Cheb Mami ile yaptığı düet performansıyla dikkat çekmekte ve şarkıya farklı bir dünya müziği hissi vermektedir.
