Donatella della Porta

Donatella della Porta (Catania, 1956) İtalyan siyaset bilimci, European University Institute'de siyaset bilimi ve siyaset sosyolojisi profesörü. Toplumsal hareketler, yozlaşma, siyasal şiddet, polis ve kamu düzeni politikaları alanındaki çalışmalarıyla tanınmaktadır. 

Biyografi

European University Institute Siyasal ve Sosyal Bilimler Bölümü'nde 2003 yılından beri sosyoloji profesörü olarak çalışmaktadır. Siyaset Bilimi profesörü olduğu, İdari Bilimlerde corso di laurea'nın başkanı olduğu ve Siyaset Bilimi ve Sosyoloji Bölümü'nün yöneticisi olduğu University of Florence'dan izne ayrılmış durumdadır. Center on Social Movement Studies (Cosmos) direktörüdür. École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales 'den Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies almış ve doktora derecesini siyaset ve sosyal bilimler alanında European University Institute 'den almıştır.

Avrupa Komisyonu'nun desteklediği DEMOS (Democracy in Europe and the Mobilisation of the Society) Projesi'nin yöneticisidir. Aynı zamanda  Gruppo di Ricerca sull'azione collettiva in Europa (GRACE) 'yı koordine etmektedir. Cornell University, Ithaca College, and at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung'la bağlantılı çalışmaları vardır. In 1990'da H.F. Guggenheim Foundation'dan Kariyer Gelişim Ödülü; 1997'de Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung'tan Stipendium almıştır. Çalışma konuları, toplumsal hareketler, yozlaşma, siyasal şiddet, polis ve kamu düzeni politikaları alanında. Bu alanlarda İtalya, Fransa, Almanya ve İspanya'da araştırmalar yapmıştır. Yazarı veya editörü olduğu 90 kitap vardır.150 dergi makalesi yazmış ve ortak çalışmalara 150 yazıyla katkı yapmıştır. Lausanne, Bucharest, Goteborg, Jyvaskyla ve Peloponnese üniversitelerinden onursal doktora unvanı almıştır.
