Edward Dmytryk

Edward Dmytryk (d. 4 Eylül 1908, Grand Forks, Britanya Kolumbiyası, Kanada - ö. 1 Temmuz 1999), Amerikalı film yönetmeni.

Paramount stüdyolarında işçi, sonra montajcı olarak çalıştı. İlk uzun metrajlı filmini, 1939'da çevirdi. Özellikle polisiye bir uygulama (Murder, my Sweet [Cinayet, Sevgilim], 1944), G.İ.'lerin (İkinci Dünya savaşında Amerikan askerlerine takılan ad) terhis edilmeleri ve Yahudi düşmanlığı üzerine bir film Crossfire [Çapraz Ateş], 1947), toplumcu bir film (Give Us This Day) Bize Bugün Verdin], 1949) çevirdi. Sonradan Amerikan Aleyhtarı Faaliyetler Komitesinin soruşturmalarından tedirgin olup polisle uyuşmak zorunda kaldı; bu tutumu uzun süre hor görülmesine yol açtı ise de, Hollywood'da Denizde İsyan (Mutiny On Caine) [1954], Genç Aslanlar (The Young Lions) [1958] ve Korkunç İhtiras (The Carpetbaggers) [1964] gibi filmler çevirmeye imkân buldu.
