John Richard Steffy

John Richard Steffy (d. 1 Mayıs 1924, Lancaster, Pensilvanya – 29 Kasım 2007 Bryan, Teksas) ABD'li gemicilik arkeoloğu.[1] Mühendislik okuduktan sonra antik batıklarla ilgilenmeye başlayan Steffy, Michael L. Katzev, ve George Bass ile beraber Institute of Nautical Archaeology'yi kurmuştur.[2]

Steffy özellikle ahşap batıkların bilimsel araştırmasına odaklanmış ve bu alanda temel başvuru eseri kabul edilen, içerisinde alanla ilgili bir sözlük de bulunduran bir eser kaleme almıştır
