Karl-Otto Apel

Karl-Otto Apel (Almanca telaffuz: [ˈaːpl̩];d. 15 Mart 1922; Düsseldorf ; ö. 15 Mayıs 2017; Niedernhausen) ,Alman filozof ve profesör. Frankfurt am Main Üniversitesi'nde emekli olduktan sonra üst düzey profesör olarak çalışmaya devam etmiştir.[1] 1993'te Frankfurt am Main'da Suhrkamp, ​​"Transzendentalpragmatik" adlı "farklı bir felsefe yaklaşımı" geliştirdi. Anlayış ve Açıklama: Transcendent-Pragmatik Bir Perspektif ve İletişimsel Eylem Teorisi adlı yapıtlarıyla ünlüdür.[2]

1989'da Akademi Europaea'ya üye olan ve 1993 yılında Akademi Scientiarum ve Artium Europaea'ya tam üye olan Apel, 2001'de Almanya Federal Cumhuriyeti Başarı Ödülü'nü aldı.

Apel 15 Mayıs 2017'de Niedernhausen'de 95 yaşında öldü. [3][4]
