The 18th Letter
The 18th Letter, Amerikalı hip hop sanatçısı Rakim'in ilk solo albümüdür. 4 Kasım 1997'de Universal Records etiketiyle yayınlandı. Rakim'in 1992'de Eric B. & Rakim grubuyla çıkardığı son albümü Don't Sweat the Technique'den sonraki ilk albümüdür.[10][11] Albümün prodüktörlüğünü Clark Kent, Pete Rock, Nick Wiz ve DJ Premier üstlendi.[12]

Albüm, yayınlandığı hafta Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde 500 bin kopya satarak Billboard 200 listesine dört numaradan girdi.[13][14] The 18th Letter'in delüks basımı Eric B. & Rakim katalogundan seçilmiş şarkılardan oluşan toplama albüm The Book of Life ile birlikte satıldı.[15][16] The Book of Life 1997'de ayrı bir ikili LP olarak satışa çıktı.[17]
