2004 yılında, 25,000 kopya satan Rehepapp ehk November sayesinde 21.yüzyılın en çok satan Eston yazarlarından biri oldu. Bir diğer kitabı Mees, kes teadis ussisõnu (2007) da Estonya'da çok satan kitaplar arasında yer aldı.
Andrus Kivirähk, 1996'dan bu yana Eston Yazarlar Birliği (Estonca: Eesti Kirjanike Liit) üyesidir.
