Laconia Lisesi'nden mezun olan Ramsey, ailesinin Los Angeles'a taşınmasıyla oyunculuk kariyerine başladı. Burada Sunset Bulvarı isimli restoranta çalışırken keşfedilmiştir. 2003'te çevirdiği ilk filmin ardından 2005'te rol aldığı The Days adlı yapımla şöhreti yakalamıştır.
