Yaşamı ve kariyeri
Vardalos 24 Eylül 1962'de Yunan asıllı bir ailenin kızı olarak Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kanada'da doğdu. Yaşamının büyük bölümünü sonradan vatandaşlığına geçtiği Amerika Birleşik Devletlerinde geçirdi.[1] Yunanistan kökenli olup 1999'da Amerika Birleşik Devletleri vatandaşı olmuştur.
Ağırlıklı olarak sinema ve televizyon filmlerinde yer aldı. Komedi türünde 2002 yapımı My Big Fat Greek Wedding ve 2004 yapımı Connie and Carla adlı prodüksiyonlarla tanındı. İlerleyen zamanda bağımsız türde filmlerde rol almaya başlayarak My Big Fat Greek Life ve My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 adlı filmlerde rol aldı.
