Ving Rhames
Irving Rameses Rhames (d. 12 Mayıs 1959) Amerikalı sahne ve sinema oyuncusu. Görevimiz Tehlike film serisinde Luther Stickell rolüyle tanınmaktadır. Lilo ve Stiç (2002) adlı animasyon filminde Cobra Bubbles'ı seslendirdi. Rhames, Altın Küre Ödülü'nün yanı sıra Emmy Ödülü ve Ekran Oyuncuları Derneği Ödüllerine aday olmuştur.

Hayatının erken dönemi ve eğitimi
Rhames, 12 Mayıs 1959'da New York'un Harlem semtinde, ev hanımı Reather ve oto tamircisi Ernest Rhames'in oğlu olarak doğdu.[1][2] Ailesi Güney Karolina'da keskin nişancı olarak yetiştirilmiştir.[2][3] Adını NBC gazetecisi Irving R. Levine'den almıştır.[4]
Oyunculuk sevgisini keşfettiği New York Sahne Sanatları Lisesi'ne girdi. Liseden sonra oyunculuk öğrencisi Stanley Tucci'nin kendisine "Ving" lakabını verdiği SUNY Purchase'de tiyatro eğitimi aldı. Rhames daha sonra Juilliard School'un Drama Bölümü'ne (Grup 12: 1979-1983)[5] geçti ve burada 1983'te Güzel Sanatlar Lisans derecesi ile mezun oldu.[6]
