Boztepe, Trabzon

Boztepe veya Minthrion Dağı, Türkiye'de Trabzon yakınlarındaki bir tepedir. Trabzon şehir merkezinin 3 kilometre güneydoğusunda yer almaktadır. Değirmendere Vadisi Boztepe'nin doğusunda yer alır. Kaymaklı Mahallesi, Boztepe tepesinin çoğunu kaplar.

Bölge eski zamanlardan beri dini açıdan önemli olmuştur.[1] Boztepe'de dört kutsal çeşme vardır.

  • Sanctifier'deki Aziz John'un zirvesi yakın. Sitede eskiden 19. yüzyıldan kalma bir kilise olan bir cami var. Kilise, Minthrion isminin kaynağı olabilecek Mithras'a bir sığınakın yerini almış olabilir.[2]
  • Kaymaklı Manastırı süt çeşmesi olarak bilinir.[3]
  • Skylolimne artık çoğunlukla kuru bir göl.[4]
  • Ejderha Çeşmesi (Δράκοντπήάσον) Hoşoğlan köyü yakınındadır.[2] Göre John Lazaropoulos' Aziz üzerinde 'Logos'un Eugenios of Trebizond, Alexios II of Trebizond sahasında ejderhayı öldürdü.
