Kaliforniya iki benekli ahtapotu, Kaliforniya kıyısı da dahil olmak üzere Pasifik Okyanusu'nun birçok bölgesinin yerlisi olan bir ahtapot türüdür. Başının her iki tarafında da bulunan yuvarlak mavi göz lekeleri ile ayırt edilebilirler. Bu türün bireyleri genellikle 2 sene yaşar. 2015'te, genomu sıralanmıştır.[2]
